Prepping inside your mobile home for transport! 


1. Removing 60-70% of personal belongings is recommended in moving your mobile home.
2. Remove all firearms and ammunition from home.
3. Remove all drawers out of cabinets and furniture dressers.
4. Lay all tall furniture on backs
5. Remove all heavy safes/safety deposit boxes and valuables within the home and secure them elsewhere.
6. Secure refrigerator to the wall with strap, or place furniture in front of refrigerator. (To keep from moving during transport)
7. Remove all light globes (place on carpet or box them)
8. Remove ceiling fans from ceiling bracket and lay on floor. (ceiling fan weight can pull mounting box out of ceiling)
9. Remove toilet tank lid lay on carpet. Close toilet seat lid. (Like your wife asks you to do. Lol)
10. Remove items out of upper wall cabinets.
11. Remove stored items off of closet shelves.
12. Remove hanging clothes off of closet rod, lay clothes on bed or floor.
13. Remove all wall decorations pictures etc.
14. Lay TVs, big screens, computer monitors on the floor
15. Mini-blinds should be pulled up tight to the top and not allowed to hang down and swing back and forth.
16. Use string to tie all cabinet door shut. DO NOT USE TAPE. (tape can pull finish off the cabinet faces).
17. Chandeliers and lights that hang/swing on a chain should be tied back or taken down.
18. Interior doors should be propped open and not shut. (it's possible for a shut door to break the latch bolt of door knob assembly during movement)
19. Tape an "X" on mirrors that cannot be removed from wall due to mounting style. (masking tape)
20. Close and latch all windows.
21. If possible remove sliding shower doors lay on floor. Or lay pillows on track to keep doors from sliding during transport.
22. Remove all items on counters, shelfs, tables etc.

IF YOU HAVE ITEMS THAT ARE BREAKABLE/VALUABLE EITHER PACK IT IN A BOX AND PLACE ON FLOOR OR REMOVE ITEM/S FROM HOME.
